I'm Farogh Iftekhar

With over 6 years of professional experience in the technology industry, I am a versatile and technology-driven enthusiast who excels at every stage of the product life cycle. My expertise lies in designing, testing, and deploying numerous embedded IoT products, bringing a wealth of knowledge and skill to any project. As a forward-thinking and innovative problem solver, I am always ready to go the extra mile to develop sustainable solutions that positively impact society. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Embedded Systems, I am well-equipped to tackle any challenge and am committed to delivering work of the highest quality.

Prior to joining Hochschule Bremerhaven, I worked as a Technical Project Manager & Senior Embedded Systems Engineer for 5.3 years and have led the product team of 20+ engineers at a startup called Smart Joules in New Delhi, India aimed at solving the energy wastage crisis. I joined as one of the first developers in the tech team and contributed to designing, developing, and deploying an IoT-based energy optimization system called DejouleTM from scratch. The system currently derives an average of 40% energy savings with deployment in over 20+ clients sites and has already saved around 74 thousand tons of CO2.

Research Assistant

Worked under the guidance of Dr. C.L. Verma (CSSRI,) & Dr. R.K. Singh (NEFORD) to develop the automation solutions for affordable precision farming tools for farmers & researchers alike. Designed hardware to solve the problem of saline land reclamation by automating the optimum gypsum dosage. Also, developed a hardware to measure groundwater level. Performed pilot experiment in 2 scientifically regulated farms in Bijnor, UP-India.

Team Audacious, DIT

With a team of 30 engineers, we had designed and manufactured an ATV for Mahindra BAJA and BSI completion and secured 6th position in endurance from 150 teams. My contribution was in the designing of an entire electrical system for the vehicle with a dashboard along with the designing and calibration of the braking system.
